Safety Suite

The 2021 Mazda CX-5 has a very comprehensive standard safety suite. Included on every CX-5 model is forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning with lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers, automatic high-beam headlights, and a rearview camera. Other available safety features include reverse automatic emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, driver attention monitoring, a surround-view parking camera system, adaptive headlights, traffic sign recognition, and a heads-up display.

Powertrain Options

Every CX-5 comes with one of two engines: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder or a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. The Sport, Touring, and Carbon Edition all come standard with the base 2.5-liter engine. The 2.5-liter turbo-four is standard on the Grand Touring, the Grand Touring Reserve, and the Signature and is available on the Carbon Edition.
