Which 2021 Mazda3 models have the new turbocharged engine?
Mazda3 Trims with Turbo Engine
The 2021 Mazda3 now features the 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G turbocharged four-cylinder engine. With regular fuel, it clocks in at 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. Premium fuel brings those numbers up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. Only the following 2021 Mazda3 trims have the turbo-four:
- Hatchback 2.5 Turbo – $30,900
- Hatchback 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus – $33,750
- Sedan 2.5 Turbo – $29,900
- Sedan 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus – $32,450
All 2021 Mazda3 Turbo models have i-ACTIV AWD and a six-speed automatic transmission. The i-ACTIV AWD system dynamically monitors and controls numerous systems to make sure you have traction when you need it and better fuel economy when you don’t.
Available Engine Options
The 2021 Mazda3 also has two other available engines: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder and the traditional 2.5-liter four-cylinder. The 2.0-lier four-cylinder is only available on the 2021 Mazda3 Sedan 2.0, the cheapest available 2021 Mazda3 model. The engine produces 155 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. Most 2021 Mazda3 trims have the 2.5-liter four-cylinder. The engine pumps out 186 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque.
