Captain’s Chairs Availability
The 2021 Mazda CX-9 has captain’s chairs on most of its trims, either as a standard feature or an available option. The Touring and Grand Touring trims have captain’s chairs as an available option. The Carbon Edition and the Signature both have captain’s chairs as a standard feature. Only the Signature trim has the second-row center console as a standard feature, however.
Heated front seats and tri-zone automatic climate control are standard on every 2021 Mazda CX-9. The Touring trim adds leather upholstery, second-row USB ports, and a power-adjustable passenger seat. The Carbon Edition gets ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, and a heated steering wheel in addition to the standard captain’s chairs. The Signature trim switches out the regular leather for European-sourced Nappa leather upholstery, among many other styling additions.
Every 2021 CX-9 comes standard with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and Mazda Connect, all controlled via the 10.3-inch touchscreen. Two front-row USB ports and an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot are also standard. Forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, blind spot warning with rear cross traffic alert, lane departure alert with lane keep assist, and stop-and-go adaptive cruise control are standard on every CX-9 model as well.
