The 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata Club Performance Package Details
The legendary Miata is back for a new model year. This time, it’s bringing some upgrades in the form of new standard features and more track-focused upgrades to the Grand Touring trims. However, if you want that classic Miata driving experience, you’ll still need the Club trim, because that’s where the performance packages are.
What is on the 2020 Miata performance package?
2020 Miata Performance Package
The Brembo/BBS Recaro performance package is only available on the manual transmission variants of the Miata and Miata RF Club trim. It includes performance Brembo front brakes, a black aero kit with side sill extensions and a rear bumper, BBS 17-inch Dark Gunmetal forged wheels, and heated Recaro Sports seats.
Club Trim Exclusive Track-Focused Upgrades
The 2020 Miata Club with the six-speed manual features a number of upgrades unavailable to other trims and transmissions. It has a limited-slip differential, Bilstein suspension dampers, a front shock tower brace, and a sport-tuned suspension. Combined with the 181-horsepower Skyactiv-G 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, these upgrades justify why the Miata is known as one of the best driving vehicles ever produced.
Other Miata Features
Unless you only plan on taking your new 2020 Miata to the track, you’ll most likely appreciate the other features also included on it. Newly standard for 2020 are forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-departure alert. It also has the highly sought-after Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, which is as great for a track day as it is for your everyday commute.
