Anyone that has been on a long drive has experienced the joy of cruise control. Whether you have a long commute or are on a cross-country road trip, cruise control is a great feature in many vehicles. With the joy, we have also experienced the frustration of having to constantly adjust due to traffic and other drivers. With recent advancements and focus on safety Mazda has solved that problem by creating Mazda Radar Cruise Control. Keep reading to find out more about this feature!
How does Mazda Radar Cruise Control Work?
Using a grille-mounted millimeter-wave radar to monitor the vehicle directly in front of you, Mazda Radar Cruise Control adjusts your vehicle’s speed automatically to maintain a safe following distance. This system works at speeds over 18 mph and if the vehicle in front of you slows down, the system will slow your vehicle. When the vehicle in front speeds up, the system will increase your speed as well. Take a look at the video below to see how the system works!
