2020 Mazda CX-5 Connectivity and Convenience Features
The 2020 Mazda CX-5 has been winning awards and claiming the top spots in critics’ “best of” lists. If you’ve ever had the pleasure to drive one, you’ll immediately understand why. If you haven’t, well, trying one out should be at the top of your car-buying list.
Today we’ll go over some of the features that make the 2020 CX-5 so excellent. For instance, we’ll look to see if the 2020 Mazda CX-5 has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Smartphone Connectivity and Multimedia
The 2020 Mazda CX-5 has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration as a standard feature on all but the base trim. However, each CX-5 model does have a Mazda Connect infotainment system with a 7.0-inch touchscreen. The Mazda Connect system can be controlled in three different ways: with the touchscreen, with standard voice-command integration, and with the ergonomically placed Commander control knob by the shifter. Each system comes with built-in Aha, Pandora, and Stitcher radio integration. Two USB charging ports are available on the CX-5 Base, but every trim thereafter adds two more USB ports to the back as well. A 10-speak premium Bose sound system is standard from the Grand Touring trim onwards.
Comfort and Convenience
Every CX-5 model comes with multiple standard convenience features. There’s a rearview camera, automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a remote keyless entry system with push button start. Other available features include a remote start system, dual-zone climate control, heated seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink integration, rear power liftgate, adaptive front lighting, parking sensors, and more. For those looking to really splurge, the 2020 CX-5 Signature has luxury Caturra Brown Nappa leather seats, genuine layered-wood trim, and a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel.
