2020 Mazda CX-30 Comfort and Convenience Features
The 2020 Mazda CX-30 is the newest addition to the Mazda line-up. It slots in between the CX-3 and the CX-5; a little bigger than the former, a little smaller than the latter. It has the signature Mazda sleekness and minimalism that is praised by industry veterans and Mazda owners alike.
Looking good is nice and all, but if the CX-30 isn’t comfortable to be in, then it’s dead on arrival. So, what kind of comfort and convenience features does the CX-30 have? For instance, does the CX-30 have heated seats?
Comfort Features and Upholstery
Available features include heated front seats, leather upholstery, and a moonroof. Standard features vary by trim, of which there are four: Base, Select, Preferred, and Premium. The Base trim comes with cloth upholstery and an 8.8-inch infotainment display. The Select trim adds synthetic leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, dual-zone automatic climate control, and proximity keyless entry. New features for the Preferred trim include heated front seats and an eight-way power driver’s seat with memory settings. Lastly, the Premium trim gets leather upholstery, a moonroof, and a power liftgate.
The CX-30 focuses on safety from the get-go. Even the Base trim is loaded with safety features thanks to the Mazda i-Activsense suite. It has forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and low-speed automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning with lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. It also has driver attention monitoring, automatic high beams, a rearview camera, and rain-sensing wipers. The Select trim adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, while the Premium trim gets adaptive headlights and a heads-up display.
