2019 Mazda CX-3 Debuts at 2018 New York International Auto Show
It still feels as though 2018 has just arrived, yet here we are talking about 2019 models. Just as Mazda released recent models such as the CX-5 and the Mazda6, they’ve unveiled yet another exciting model: the 2019 Mazda CX-3. Debuting at the New York International Auto Show, presenters announced a bevy of changes drivers can expect. Check them out below!
It might seem a little early to release a 2019 model, but why not do it if you already have plenty of improvements in place? The 2019 CX-3 received a number of upgrades, but perhaps the biggest improvements came from the new electronic parking brake. It frees up space which increases cargo volume a little and just adds to the overall convenience of having more open room.
While it still has the same SKYACTIV-G 2.0 engine, improvements have been made to make it smoother and more efficient. Horsepower and torque have been slightly increased to 148 hp and 148 lb-ft, respectively. Mazda also fine-tuned the power steering and suspension for better overall responsiveness. Other improvements include available full-leather seating as well as redesigned seats meant to provide better posture and be more comfortable and thicker door panels and rear-door glass for a quieter interior.
When Will the 2019 CX-3 be Released?
Believe it or not, the release of the 2019 CX-3 is coming up pretty soon. Mazda has slated the release date to be sometime this spring, which could be any day now. Don’t be too disappointed though; if you’re looking for a compact SUV and want it now, check out the 2018 CX-3! It has much of the same features as the 2019 model.
